My co-president, Elise Crawford Gallagher, and I had the honor of filming two segments on Johnnette Benkovic Williams’ show, Women of Grace, on EWTN. As I write this, I’m still in Alabama, in one of EWTN’s guest houses, after a day of recording and touring the station. I’m pretty tired after the adrenaline rush of filming, so I don’t have much to say yet about it other than … What a joy and a gift to be able to share our mission this way! The shows will air on Jan. 31 and Feb. 1 at 1pm Eastern on EWTN (you can also watch online).
CatholicMom also published my latest article this week—about why I didn’t set New Year’s resolutions this year and what I’m doing instead.
Content I’ve Liked:
- wrote a great piece for Public Discourse—a great take on the much-discussed mental load.
This article in Fast Company by Lilly Stairs, founder of the Chronic Boss Collective, had some great advice for businesspeople with chronic illness.
This feature in National Catholic Register about a company that makes priest vestments was a fascinating look at the importance of beauty.
A Book I Enjoyed:
Glossy: Ambition, Beauty, and the Inside Story of Emily Weiss's Glossier, by Marisa Meltzer, was an entertaining and interesting story about Emily Weiss and her company. I did feel like Meltzer kept trying to make a point but not really making it, but if you’re looking for an enjoyable book about a businesswoman, I’d recommend it!
Thanks for the mention! I’m so glad you liked the piece.
Good luck with filming! I hope it’s a lovely time.
